Is credit repair legal?
Yes, credit repair is absolutely LEGAL. Credit repair is a request of creditors to “prove a specific item/account exists”. If a creditor or credit bureau is unable to provide the requested documentation, by law, they are required to remove any inaccurate information from your report. If an item/account cannot be proven, it does not exist.
Is there a money back guarantee?
1. If we do not remove any negatives worked on and you’ve obtained our services for 180 days.
2. You have not used a credit-consulting agency nor attempted to repair your credit at least two years previous to signing up for our services.
3. You have had no new collections or missed payments during the time frame we are assisting you
4. You have maintained credit monitoring services at all times during the time frame we are helping you
5. You agree & have sent updated reports/responses from the three credit bureaus & creditors to us within five days of receipt. You should receive updated credit reports every 30-45 days and make us aware if updated reports have not been received.
What items can be removed?
Late pays on closed accounts, collection accounts, chargeoffs, medical bills, evictions, judgements, repossessions, foreclosures, discharged bankruptcies, and tax liens.
How much will my FICO score increase by removing a negative item?
Unfortunately, we haven’t cracked the code for computing FICO scores. However, we do know which items greatly impact your credit score: age of accounts, variety of accounts (installment loan, mortgage, revolving account), debt to credit ratio, derogatory items, and inquiries. When derogatory items are removed and your debt is decreased, your FICO score greatly improves: 35% Payment History 30% Debt Ratio 15% Length of Credit History 10% Types of Credit 10% Number of Credit Inquiries
Can I pull my credit report during this process?
No, Five Star Credit Solutions will request a new credit report every 30 days using your credit monitoring service account. DO NOT pull a credit report. We will pull 1 report every 30 days. If you see negative items being removed, please celebrate and share your results on our Facebook page !
Am I able to apply for financing during the repair process?
All clients are asked not to seek credit (have someone pull your credit soft or hard pull) while enrolled in one of our services.
